Traveling is not only seeing beautiful places

Visiting Africa is not, or not only, going on safari to spot wild animals, or wandering around pyramids.

In this article are the latest videos from Senegal. To the many who have asked me if it was a good trip, I reply that I saw a couple of really nice things, but overall it was a good experience. Some might have found it shocking, it was certainly very interesting.

The highlights the Faidherbe Bridge over the Senegal River leading to the historic center of Saint Luis.

Wandering around the island of Goree does not feel like being in Senegal

The first video is shot on Goree Island, which I visited on the first day. Frankly, I expected more, but it is a nice break from the chaos of Dakar. It was a collection and sorting point in the slave trade, but historically it is not even so sure that it was such an important place compared to so many others in what was one of humanity’s greatest tragedies.

When one thinks of this continent, one must first have in mind the scandal of slavery, and how much we Westerners have despoiled it; both of people and material wealth. This article is very helpful in delving into this topic

Below you can see the prison cells, which now houses an exhibition of memorabilia and photos.

To visit Africa, not only beauty

In the latter, however, there are glimpses from the fishing village(Guet N’Dar) in Saint Luis. In my opinion you cannot last to visit Africa if you have not visited one of these places, although they are certainly not beautiful.
