Accommodations: a few stars, a few barns
A few stars, a few stalls is my motto. While a brother of mine maintains that the ‘important thing is to have a door and a bed.
After all, if I want to take a lot of trips, I have to save money somewhere. Always my go-to site for reservations has been booking. This is not an advertisement, but they deserve it for the times they have helped me. When I was young, I often hung out in hostel dorms, which often gave many insights. As someone over 50, I happened to still attend them for an economic issue, especially in certain very expensive countries (e.g., Canada, Australia and Switzerland). But now hostels are almost always well organized and maintained, often better than some hotels.
