Still Live from Senegal is the fourth article in the series. I am witnessing my adventure with short videos and narrating updates. I am traveling solo and completely independently, and will be moving by public transportation.
Pelicans
It’s turning out to be a very interesting trip, but for beauty the highlight I reached in Djoudj National Park. It is a place to see many birds, but especially pelicans. It is located near Saint Luis and I got there by participating in a tour I found here.
With me were three Frenchmen, a Belgian and a Chinese woman who is touring Africa, alone, in spite of those who claim that a woman alone cannot.
Many other birds, mammals and if you are lucky, crocodiles are also spotted in the park. But the best are the many pelicans. Below is the fourth video from my you tube channel on Senegal.
Live from Senegal, but still on the coast
After Saint Luis, which is to the north, tomorrow I will head to Saly, which is to the south, still in the coast.
In Saly I don’t expect any surprises, it’s supposed to be a tourist area and where you rest, but who knows.
It may be at least bumpy to get there. I still don’t quite know what means I will take. I’ll have to initially take a cab, which will charge an absurd amount, but now I’ve figured out how to do it, and then I’ll see.
