Italian Trans-Siberian Railway! From the name I feared a bit of a rip-off and instead it is very worthwhile. It is a route that you take on a vintage train through the Majella mountains. Obviously the scenery is spectacular and perhaps in winter it makes it even more so. But it is a matter of luck because it depends a lot on the weather whether you can admire everything or not.

After Croatia and before Alsace, here I am in Abruzzo for my second spring Z-bridge. This is the article of my travel plans for 2025 where I explain why bridges with a Z.

Those singing and playing are a trio from The Merry Company of Music, who went from one wagon to another playing and singing folk songs. I must say that some people found them a bit intrusive, while in my opinion they give cheer and color.
