These are the travel ideas I have for 2025; but there is a chance that more will come up as well. Certainly it is to be decided where I will go after the summer.
Z weekends
To warm up for summer and to take full advantage of the 3 consecutive bridges in April and May, I decided to go to 3 places with a Z and that rhymed.
No, just kidding, it was a fluke, but they will be:
- Croatia
- Abruzzo
- Alsace
All in company, but with very different companies and modes. The first will not be pleasure, but I am sure it will be fun. On Easter days, for my basketball club, I will accompany a group of 53 young basketball players to the tournament in Porec, Croatia.
Over the April 25 bridge I will be going to Abruzzo (in the Majella area) and, great news for me, I will be going there in an RV!
On the May Day holiday instead, I will be doing a driving tour betweenAlsace and the Black Forest, thus passing through Switzerland, France and Germany.
Long-listed travel ideas
The big trips that have actually already been planned and almost completely booked for the summer are
- Turkey
- Canada
- Bosnia and Serbia
In the first and last I will be gone 8 days, in Canada 16 days; all three will be solo and using almost entirely public transportation. In Turkey and Canada I have been there before, but for too short a time, and I have been meaning to explore them for some time.
Specifically, in Turkey in addition to a trip to Istanbul (already seen), I will go to Cappadocia and the Aegean coast. In the Balkans I will visit the main cities of Bosnia and Serbia.
In Canada I will be doing a kind of coast-to-coast; visiting cities, but mostly nature and in particular two of the natural parks in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. The six days I will spend there are currently the ones I am most excited about.
During these travels, road trips, and road trips, I will suspend the publication of articles and episodes of the podcast but will post short videos, possibly every other day, on the Live on travel page.

ps bis Actually to be precise I already did a weekend in Friuli, and the year had started with the trip to Laos and Cambodia.
