Videos of Canada, the first excursion to Victoria

Moving by public transportation, I organized myself by taking excursions from the cities where I was staying. From Vancouver I went on a day trip to Victoria, which is on an island. In this video the spectacular landscape of the archipelago as you cross by ferry.

The burned forest near Jasper

The first video I shot from the bus on the way from Banff to Jasper, in the state of Alberta. I must also say that on the first part of the journey I passed through one of the most beautiful landscapes of my life: a succession of mountains, lakes and rivers amidst snow and forests.

But I also went through the area devastated by the ‘ fire of July 2024; in this link the news.

This second video I shot as I entered the very woods surrounding Jasper. Many homes were also destroyed and many were living in containers the following year. However, the paths had already been cleared and made viable, through an endless amount of still life.

It seems unbelievable that a country so rich in water and perennial ice, passes being a victim of fires. Featured is a photo of Lake Luise, one of the most famous but of the many.

From Ottawa

Plus here is a video shot in the capital city of Ottawa, with its French-style government buildings from the late 1800s. It is a bit impressive to see such a quiet capital city, but it must be said that it was also late afternoon on a public holiday.
