The coast-to-coast of Canada is one of my crazy ideas. Specifically it is a train ride from Jasper to Toronto. I did 3 out of 4 days of an ocean to ocean route. I skipped the first day (done by plane), to stay more in the Rocky Mountains, where I did beautiful wilderness walks.
I am on an 18-day trip, solo and using public transportation, that is, the kind I prefer.
On my maps here is where I am and the route taken.

Coast to coast of Canada by train
As they say: the beauty of the journey is in the journey itself. I wanted to do something that tasted a little bit epic, and here is this experience that few people do. I’m armed with 2 books, sudoku, and most importantly beautiful and varied landscapes.
The train cars are very comfortable, and I slept well even though, as a matter of economics, I did not take the bunk. I thought I would have made a few more acquaintances and chats, but fine. The food from the dining car is definitely improvable.
In my fantasy m imagined a Hercule Poirot situation, but instead it was all very peaceful.
More quasi-live videos
Here is the video from my you tube channel. This is one of the valleys in the state of Manitoba, as seen from the observation roof car featured on the train.
